What The GreekHunter System Can Do For You and Your Chapter

TASK: Email someone at one of the Sororities or Fraternities at your school.

Step One: Go to the web, search around the school’s web site and hope to find a link to the school’s Greek organizations. Then try and find their chapters website.

Step Two: Get a pen and paper, write down the web address and hope that you don’t have to commit it to memory.

Step Three: Search through the chapter’s web site to find a list of member email addresses that are not out of date. Hope that their address is listed. Remember that you can’t email the member at their school’s email address after graduation because it goes away after graduation.

Step Four: Go to the phone book to find their phone number. Uh Oh! They started school after the phone book came out or have moved.

Step Five: Go to the their chapter house and wait on them: They will probably show up in the next few days.

We have discovered that at the present time there is no good way to find different web sites for Fraternities and Sororities around the country. If you want to email one of your chapter friends, a friend at another chapter or at another university, you should either plan on an exhaustive search or give up and save your valuable time. Having all attended college, we were aware that university email addresses “GO AWAY” with graduation. With our simple to use, simple to find system, you can easily locate a brother or sister now, or after they leave school.

For Example: www.PiKappaPhi-UA.com.  If you have the name of someone you met at a ballgame last year, you also know their email address: their name, followed by the chapter’s website. There is little duplication of email addresses since only your chapters members are tied to your dot com instead of tens of thousands.

Imagine every chapter having a few standard email addresses forever, like President@ PiKappaPhi-UA.com or ChapterAdvisor@PiKappaPhi-UA.com. When new officers are elected, they just start checking the standard email addresses along with their personal address. Also, imagine getting in touch with groups of people in your chapter like Actives, Pledges, Alumni, etc.  Send one e-mail to all of the active members with a simple click of the mouse.

Another important feature is that following graduation, you can keep in touch with your brothers and sisters just by remembering their name. There are a lot of very good websites out there, but most of them lack a common naming convention to their addresses. Test Out The Webmail System

Go to the Check Your Email link on the left and use one of our two sample e-mail addresses to check out how the e-mail system works.  We have set up two accounts named John.Doe@GreekHunter.com and Jane.Doe@GreekHunter.com as sample email accounts.  The password for John is 'john' and the password for Jane is 'jane'.   You can send from one address to the other or look at the features of the email system.  They have an entry in the address book to each other.  This will give you an opportunity to see how it works.
